Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · Prod Posts is in beta. This policy will be updated as features are added.

1. How your files are processed

Prod Posts offers two render modes:

  • Local Browser Render — audio and visual files are processed entirely within your browser using WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm). Files never leave your device.
  • Free Cloud Render — files are uploaded temporarily to a render server for faster processing. Files are deleted immediately after the rendered video is returned to you. No files are stored persistently on our servers.

You choose your render mode before each export. If Cloud Render is not available, the app automatically uses Local Browser Render.

By using Cloud Render, you confirm you have the rights to upload the audio and visual content you submit.

2. Account data

Prod Posts now supports optional user accounts. If you create an account, we store your name, email address, and hashed password (for email/password sign-up) or a reference to your Google account (for Google sign-in) in our Neon PostgreSQL database. We do not store payment details at this time.

Account data is used solely to authenticate you and to track Pro status granted via promotional codes. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.

3. Advertising

No real ad network code is active at this time. No tracking pixels, third-party scripts, or behavioral profiling are loaded from ad networks in the current version.

Ad integration is planned for Free mode in a future update. When real ads are added, this policy will be updated and users will be notified. Real ads may involve third-party scripts (e.g. Google AdSense / Ad Manager) that set cookies or collect anonymised usage data subject to their own privacy policies.

4. Future features — payments

Paid premium features (no ads, private compiler tools) are planned but not yet active. When payment is added, payment data will be handled entirely by a PCI-compliant third party (e.g. Stripe). We will never store full card details. This policy will be updated before any payment flow goes live.

5. Analytics and cookies

Prod Posts uses privacy-friendly analytics to understand site usage and feature reliability. Vercel Web Analytics collects anonymised page views. GoatCounter records a small set of fixed product events (such as render started or completed) with no personal information, filenames, or account identifiers.

These tools do not use tracking cookies or require a consent banner. If our analytics practices change materially, this policy will be updated.
